There is a new book by Kay Redfield Jamison called "Nothing was the Same" in which she tells about her husband, their lives together and his death. It deals primarily with grief. I have just started reading it and have been enjoying it. (of course it also deals with her bipolar)

Wow! Having to deal with grieving, but while the symtoms of bipolar can really kick in.

Sounds like it will be very interesting but hard to read.
Do any of her books focus on her depression? The one I read was mainly about the mania.
