I had a fun wknd with my son. We went and got our pictures taken. It'll be good to have an up to date photo with the others. But Saturday night the ex called our son to say he was ok after his surgery friday, and wanted to talk to me as well I'm trying my da**est to be civil for our son's sake. Any contact with him just makes me nausous and angry. I was in such a good mood til that point. It's such a trigger.

And I know I'm in a rut when I got happy that my morning client called to reschedule for another day. My job is about the only thing that motivates me cause I enjoy it. Why does it seem like this week is gonna be terrible?

I'm so glad you had a fun weekend with your son and got updated pictures. Please remember that just because you had a rough couple of days does not mean it has to set the tone for the entire week.

Triggers suck but don't let it ruin the memories of the good weekend you had. Treasure the time with your son and do the best you can to move past your ex. Hard, I know, but the effort will be worth it in the long run.
