Oy!
I felt like crap today (because I didn't sleep much last night because I didn't take my Lamictal because I had a rash and even though my GP didn't think it was Lamictal related, it got worse so I wanted to see)...so I was tired and I had a headache and just wanted to lie in bed all day, but at the same time, my attention span was pretty short, so I would watch episodes of TV shows like Hey Arnold (oh childhood shows!) on Netflix because I couldn't keep my attention on anything long enough to watch any movies...and just now, I drank about half of one of those Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drinks (you know, the ones that come in glass bottles that you can buy in 4 packs at the grocery store)...and now I'm all hyped up! I forgot how much caffeine affects me now that I'm on meds...and I'm sure it's not helping my attention span or my train of thought as you can probably tell by this post... *Sigh* |

Well...to keep my mind occupied, I'm listening to music (and changing the song in the midle most of the time) and playing games on Sporcle since their timed so my mind has to move fast in order to answer all the questions...perfect!

I had a reaction to trazadone. I understand the short attention span. That is a constant with me. Hang in there and watch the caffiene.

I'm not used to having to watch my caffeine intake because before meds caffeine didn't do much of anything to me unless I had a lot and on an empty stomach...so for me it's weird to react to it.

Got love those interaction effects.

Heh. Oh of course.
I have to remember to be more careful about it! I made the same mistake a couple of weeks ago (although that time it was worse)...my friends and I went out for bubble tea, and not exactly early either...probably around 10pm or so...and I got a drink with green tea in it (and peppermint)...and consequently had the hardest time sleeping that night. It's annoying because I used to be able to drink whatever I wanted with caffeine and go to sleep afterwards, no problem. I actually used to wish that caffeine would affect me more because unlike most people, I couldn't really use it to stay awake. Well, now I got my wish. Lol. |

First, totally love Hey Arnold haha!
Second, didn't know about all this interactions stuff. And everyone seems to be on different meds, it's so confusing! Was it hard to get the right combo for you guys and how long did it take? __________________ If I smile, maybe tomorrow will come. And who knows, it could be better than I had imagined. |

I used to be able to drink coffee right before bed. Now I can't have any caffeine after 3pm. What's bubble tea? it sounds cool! |

I'm still working on finding the right meds combo. I'm currently on Lamictal and Lexapro, but I'm thinking I might have to get off the Lamictal because I have a rash that I can't chalk up to anything else...we'll see though. Quote:
Bubble tea is a drink that usually consists of tea (duh!) that often is fruit flavored and/or has milk in it, and tapioca balls (the "bubbles"). My favorite things to get at the place my friends and I go to are coconut black tea w/milk and regular tapioca balls and what the place calls a Green Night Elf which has passionfruit, peppermint, green tea and something else...and I like to get the popping mango flavored tapioca balls in that. Sooo good! |

Initially I tried Epival/Depakote and Wellbutrin, but I found that that I became tolerant to the Wellbutrin quickly and the Epival/Depakote eliminated only my mania. I have since tried Lamictal and Celexa and have found it to work wonderfully. I only hope I don't become tolerant to it. __________________ It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. I'm hoping it won't take too long to get my meds right. I know it's only been a month since my diagnosis and my starting on meds...but in a month I'm supposed to go away for 2 months and well, if my meds aren't straightened out by then, it could be bad!
