I find myself waiting for someone to knock on my door and for me to "be in trouble" for something and to be criticized and looked down on , my tv is too loud, apt not neat enough although I keep it very very clean. My Dad always pointed out the ONE wrong thing I did when I did A HUNDRED things very well, how do u get past a hurdle like that? Thanks, Kristen.

If you have 1 negative versus 100 positive and you find yourself completely focused on the 1 negative....you may want to continue with therapy to work on the imbalance you put on negative item...you would probably benefit from exploring and building self-esteem.

Yay! Loners unite!
um..... maybe that won't work.

Its a curious thing, and I feel it too - wanting to be with people - talking meaningful stuff, not impersonal things, but I find far too few people want that, like they find it too threatening. I often avoid groups or crowds - those with nothing to say seem to speak loudest, and it just gets a bit much for me LOL.

Kristen, like you, I have stopped therapy. But I didn't stop because I thought I was coping well enough. I'm afraid to go back because I found it really painful, and I came away feeling more unstable and wobbly and hopeless. Maybe it will be different next time around.

Hope you keep doing well - and better.

i do keep to myself alot, but i know that it can be beneficial (to me at least) to at least see a friend each fortnight, to speak on the phone to someone every few days and to chat online alot (lol)
I feel less anxious when i keep some sort of contact going.
I dont know if you would find it helpful to be more social in safe ways.
Thanks for this!
