Congrats on a successful week, jack!

I think it is normal for you to experience some anxiety when starting a new job! And not just the first week! Give it some time, you'll settle in.

Do you have a PRN you can take? When I was working and having a rough time, I was able to take a small dose (0.5 mg) of lorazepam and it helped immensely. It shouldn't interfere with your work and if anything, will probably help you focus. What type of nursing are you doing now? I am a Med Tech, and have worked in trauma centers, so I can understand stress, lol.

Good for you,
I agree with Dragonfly, prn lorazepam 0.5, just to take the edge off if needed. And kudos to you, what you do is an extremely important job. Hopefully you see the compassion that you have for others is such a wonderful gift, but it is hard work. I'm there with you.

Tonight was a better. I am less anxious today. I am trying to make sure I get enough rest. I am still isolating myself though and feel like I am so alone. Now for my ordeal. My ex boyfriend works at the same place. We broke up about 6 months ago but have continued a sexual relationship and continue to be friends. just not a committed relationship. I think that he is seeing someone else that works there and I don't think she knows about me. This could end up being a sticky situation if she does. I know I should probably quit seeing him but I really don't want to give up what relationship we do have. Any ideas.
