So - I can feel it too now. I am ready for take off.
This past month and half I have experienced mild mania with some bouts of depression. But I am doing okay - not on any meds, no racing thoughts, and/or auditory hallucinations. However, I am not eating. I am just not hungry. I went from 125lbs to 115lbs in just a month. I'm 5'7 too. Also, I'm obsessing. About a guy too. Lame - at least I know that I am, so I have some control. But with regard to decreased appetite - has anyone else experienced the same tendency? What are some of the health behaviors that arise for you when you become manic or feel like you are about to have a manic episode? |

I have so much to do when I'm manic that stopping to make something to eat or even just going to get something to eat just isn't in the cards. Sometimes I forget...sometimes I just say I'll eat in 30 minutes and the hours will pass.
It is at this time it becomes important to do "opposites" meaning I know that it is healthy for me to have 3 meals and 3 snacks through out the day...so now that you are mindful it is happening...start getting back into what ever is your healthy routine...Especially since you are sliding into the underweight category... __________________ Direction Ripple Effect - Small things can make a difference |

Well for me zero appetite is a signal, I will start missing nights of sleep. I've also noticed that my body literally will be vibrating, my hands and legs move much faster causing much clumsiness. My co-ordination is also effected negatively.
And another thing I notice, although maybe not really "health" behavior is that I stutter, and my speech gets rearranged, and a different rhythm, different word choices than normal. I'm not gonna say too much about your eating, because I'm with you there. Try to get in a bit more calories than you are burning off, if your fairly active or exercising.. Since you mentioned live foods in my thread, I remembered something I saw the other day ...'live lettuce' at the market. Ever see it or have it? |
