Welcome to the Bipolar Forum, whoever you may be.
![]() By visiting other forums I think it helps others learn about other's DX's, and in turn, helping others possibly to have more understanding towards them, and what the disorder can do to a person, friend, family and/or loved one. Take care now, Rosanne (((((((((((( all here ))))))))))))))))

I agee no matter what the persons problem there is benefits from being a part of all the forums not just one. A person with one disorder can understand, help and have other problems in other areas. I find something special that fits me in every forum here. I may not be bipolar but I do have depression. Bipolar is a form of depression. I don't have as severe depression as bipolor people do and my depression doesn't run in cycles but the things I learn to take care of me can help others with any form of depression take care of themselves and I know that people with bipolar may know some things about how to take care of themselves that will help me take care of myself. This is true with all the message boards. No one needs to have the most severe forms of the disorders or even have that disorder to visit the forums and offer help and gain help in other areas of their lives. One thing I do know for example the sexual abuse forum and the other forums all have things that a person in dissociative deals with and vice versa and so does all the other boards. So I don't limit myself to just one forum. I have a friend who has been watching without becoming a member because she is not DID. She thinks just because she's not DID she can't join in here at this website. I've tried everything to convince her to get her B**** inside with us all, maybe seeing this post will help her decide...

Thank you Pat for starting this thread!
![]() Since I do not have bipolar, it's really more reussuring for me to know that I am welcome in this forum. A lot have been going on lately and at times I really don't know which forum I can post into or just even come to read. Personnally I would like to be able to go read in every forum. One of the thing about me is that I am always starving to learn new things, discover this and that. I do not judge people and I will give my support if I can. One of my friend in real life is bipolar. But if one of you do not feel safe with me coming here, please tell me. I am not here to give more trouble to people. Each of us has already our own load to carry. I surely am one who is grateful for this post. Thank you! ![]() time0 |

I also feel that reading across forums is very helpful. And as another poster mentioned, many of us have multiple diagnoses.
For about 15 years I thought my dx was "Major Depression Recurrent," then on my initial visit to new T. she said I showed the symptoms of Bipolar II. When I mentioned that to pdoc at next visit he said "I thought you knew you were Bipolar when I put you on Depakote; oh and I think you're closer to Bipolar I." Welcome Pat's friend!! (I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would be told not to participate in a forum. ![]()

Hi Pat,
Once again this shows us all the huge heart you have. I will do all I can to welcome your friend and offer everything I can. I have just one question for you....what is "bipolarbearian"? I assume there's some history there that I missed in my absence...care to fill me in? I want you to know that I think of you often...and while I find PC to be so very different than it was before...I'm so glad to still have you. TgrsPurr, xo.
