Hi all--

My daughter is being treated for bi-polar and her doctor has been trying to find an adhd medication for her. Right now she is on tenex and my wife and I swear it is triggering manic episodes in her--real train wreck stuff. Tenex is not supposed to be a stimulant, but a 1999 article I found by Horrigan dn Barnhill say tenex may trigger mania in bi-polar kids. Anybody out there have any experiences like this with tenex?

No experience, but I think your research warrants a discussion with her psychiatrists. There is a med chat tonight at 8 pm tonight that has been helpful to me. It is led by a knowledgable pharmacy student. He could probably answer some of your questions.
