I keep hearing my cell making incoming text sounds, over and over for a few week now, when I check nothing is there. I did realize this is me hearing things.

Also, every once in a while I get a text and I can see it on the pop up notification, but when I go to touch the phone it disappears. I search for the new text but it is nowhere. I thought it was a glitch. However the only person that texts me is my boyfriend. I checked with him but he didn't send anything. Tonight I got a glimps of what the message said. It was a paragraph and I only caught the first line before it was gone. It said "You may experience noise while..." that's all I got. I have my pop up notification set to not show the actual msg in the pop up, so I am at reasonable loss.

I have had delusions that my cell was being intercepted in the past, so I am guessing this is my mind. Just weird and well weird, looked so real.

I'm trying really hard to do good, yesterday my 11 year old daughter broke her arm while rollerblading. She broke both bones in half, open compound fracture. She had surgery this morning and had two metal rods placed in her forearm. We are home now and I am trying to hold it all together. I cannot afford to go to the hospital with my baby girl injured at home.

I had the in-law family reunion, my mother visiting (rough relationship), and the day my mom left my daughter was seriously injured. Uggggh I just need to get through the next few weeks. My poor girl

Just doing a sorta touch base I guess, for sanity's sake.
Thanks for this!

Oriana,

I'm ok, I managed to get in about 4 hours sleep. I've been getting in only about 2-4 hours in 72 hour stints lately. The psychosis is hard to deal with, been 2 months and I am just worn thin I think.

My daughter is doing awesome! She is such a trooper, he is so brave and strong. She did not complain once yesterday or last night of pain, or anything else. She is taking painkillers, but still, I am just amazed by her.

I think I could take a little inspiration from her right now.

Thank you for asking

I'm glad that your daughter is doing well, and also it's lovely to see how proud you are of her. Our children can be lifesaving, don't you think?

Regarding those hallucinations... wow, I've been having something similar for a few weeks, I've had to stop watching television because I keep seeing flashes of subliminal images... Writing flashing up and vanishing. I've had "she would be very proud..." didn't catch the rest, "spiritual...." didn't catch the rest. The others I can't remember anymore. I've also started seeing more flashes of people again, today I've seen a little girl in a flowery dress, she followed me from work, flashing up when I was at Sainsburies, and when I stopped for a bite to eat in town. I hear my phone ringing a lot as well, but no messages on it.

Oh, this board has flashed up some bizarre text which vanished as well. I feel relieved I'm not the only one to have these problems, because I feel less alone, but at the same time I'm so sorry you have to put up with it.

How old is your daughter?

(((Anika)))

So sorry you've had to deal with so much lately. I was wondering how things went with your mother. The stress of seeing our children hurting is so much to bear - sounds like you're both handling it pretty well considering how you've been feeling lately.

As for the cell phone texts, sometimes my cell phone company will send out these odd texts about special promotions and such. Could it be something like that?? You would think you would be able to find the texts afterward, but it may be worth a quick phone call to your cell phone company to see if they've been sending texts to customers. I wish there was some way your brain would let you sleep more. No luck with getting anything different from the doctor?

Sending hugs your way...

The visit with my mom was ok. I figured out she gets cranky by noon. I tried hard to let her passive aggressive comments roll off my back. The hardest part was in the evenings, she wanted to just sit and watch tv. I'm so energized and I get agitated from sitting still. I tried to explain buy she seemed annoyed. I called her from the hospital to tell her about my daughter and that she was in surgery, as my mom had left for home a few hours before the accident. She wanted to talk about her flight and her garden and roses instead sooo....

My daughter is still doing good, been sick a few times so trying to get her to hold some food down. She did well with her breakfast this morning.

I talked to my t yesterday about what's happening and she told me there is no therapy for psychosis and no type I groups or anything here. So that was a bit of a let down. I will keep trying though. I am worried as it seems to be getting worse as I age and I'm having a harder time with delusions.

Thanks guys for the support.

Mgran,

I helps to know I'm not alone. Modern day psychosis haha ughh. I hope your doing better soon.

It is modern day, isn't it? At least folks won't have had to put up with this kind of thing a hundred years ago... unless you count things in the Bible, like the sky rolling up like a scroll (this was before books were bound.)

Haha I am sure glad that I don't see the sky rolling into a scroll or the sea parting.

So am I... though I reckon if I was being chased by the Egyptian army I'd be pretty glad if the seas parted!

I read an article recently about a lot of people who hear phantom phone ringing (myself included) and even feel it vibrating on their legs when it's not attached to them.
i've gone through times of hallucinations...hearing people knocking at my door, lights flashing, objects moving....always when my sleep is really messed up so I'm wondering if your lack of sleep is adding to that.

I'll try to find the article for you.

You guys are not the only ones for sure!

Thanks for this!

Thanks that will be interesting to read.

I don't like the disappearing text msgs tho. Should I read them or not read them ? I checked with my service provider to be sure it was not them. The content of " you may be experiencing noise whlie ..." kinda left a bag feeling. Like I was seeing the little people and talked to a few people about the voices, then I was was afraid the little people and voices would be angry with me for talking about them. The msg makes me feel like someone knows and is sending a msg, maybe not a nice one.

I think the lack I sleep isn't helping. I was having psychosis before the sleep problem, but forsure that won't help.

That's interesting and that does happen to me on occasion. Right now it's different tho. I could be in the house alone quiet and cleaning the bathroom and it could happen 10 or so times, not faintly either. But this makes total sense for some other time I can recall.

I hear phantom ringing all the time! Thanks for posting the article, now I feel less crazy

Hang in there with the psychosis. Before I got on Abilify I'd see flashes of things out of the corner of my eye and hear voices, and get paranoid that something was haunting me. For the most part, the dosage I'm on helps, but whenever I get stressed out or start to lose sleep, the weird imagery and noises start back up.
