I get more manic phases than I do depressed ones . Is anyone else like that?

No, I'm more often depressed or mixed than purely hypomanic. : ( It may be related to my personality, however. I can be a very negative person...

It's interesting, the various ways in which bipolar will manifest itself...

It's more common in BP1 to experience mania, or at least for mania to be the more prominant phase.
I'm BPII, so I also mainly have depressive phases

I'm BP 1 and my doc says the older you get the fewer manic episodes and more depressions you have. I'm in my 50's and have had only one psychotic mania in 10 yrs.

I am bipolar I and have atleasat one manic episode a month but really dont get depressed
