I hallucinated today. I was at my son's school (an old farm house)because he gets tutored there and when they were done, the tutor shut off the light. I could see the fireplace in the next room and something shiny caught my eye. When I turned to look I thought I saw a black cat on the fireplace but then it disappeared.

Also when I got home it looked like my other son's rocking horse was rocking ever so slightly, but no one was near it. I kept turning away and looking again and it happened a bunch of times.

Freaky.

How odd. I don't believe in ghosts so I would think it hallucination. Are you under a lot of stress right now? Stress brought on my hallucinations.

The mind can play tricks on you; but I wouldn't rule out anything. If it continues, you might want to look into it. Honestly, however, I have known lots of people to experience thing such as you described and I wouldn't let it concern me unless it happens repeatedly.

I am under some stress right now so it could be that or I wonder if it could be the Wellbutrin... I'll keep an eye on myself and see if it keeps happening.

If it is any consolation, I'm a thorough-going BPII and have had... don't know if I'd call them hallucinations exactly, but (usually) ghostly sorts of images when I'm very depressed and very stressed. I am both now, and just the other morning, distinctly saw a black cat (too!) moving across a short span of visual space. I'm chalking it up (like the other occasions) to tricks of the mind as xp1155 suggests. But yes, if it continues or becomes more troubling, it would be good to mention to your mental health people.
