I was just over another site that I just left and they were attacking a new member with all their replies because she said something they didn't like and if I were that girl, I would never post again and would leave that group.
Even a Community Leader did this to that individual. She has the power to close threads and report people, yet she was one of the worse offenders. She closed the thread and I sent her a message saying that everyone can still read that thread and the harm has already been done. I was so pissed off that I reported the thread to the abuse dept. You guys here are so awesome and nobody gangs up on anyone. You guys are very supportive and non-judgmental of anyone. So, this is where I am going to be hanging out from now on. You guys are the best!

No, I am sorry, but I do not want to give it out.
It is just a site I just left and went back just to check out today and once again, I did not like what I saw.

I had the exact same experience on http://www.mdjunction.com/bipolar It was terrible, and I'm not going back there. Same exact issue.

WoW, I am glad I didn't pick that one to join.
Did they have a group of friends who stuck together and dragged everyone else down with them. The place I was at did this to people all the time.

We're allowed to talk about everything on PC. That other one wouldn't let them talk about suicidal feelings, or anything...which made me wonder what was the point of the whole site. They were also huge on saying "I'm not a doctor" because people were only allowed to give personal testimonies...which...duh...that's what we're all doing. They also cussed / swore, and attacked people who asked questions, that were honest questions...no respect...yet everyone "loved" everyone and said the group was so supportive...I ran for the hills last week.

I looked around a lot for a forum for bipolar And PC was the only one I saw that looked like someplace I'd like to be
 . I did see a lot of the above mentioned behaviors while shopping around.

Same here. The posts about suicide were ignored mostly and then all the posts were about attacking members of a so-called support site.
It is such a pity.

On the suicidal thread I was talking about...they scolded the girl, and locked the thread for all to keep reading. I hurt for the young lady, and she didn't even say it was her intent...she just said that she had the thoughts. They threw the 800 numbers up for her, told her that kind of talk was not allowed on the site because it was contagious.
Another guy was trying to get some information about his girlfriend and asking if the way she was presenting could be bipolar...they were rude to him, and swore at him for asking because his girlfriend was also pregnant. I messaged him to come over here.

Wow! Guess I lucked out, this is the 1st and only site i've c0me to for support. Can't believe people are so mean... Thank you PC!
