Or is it bipolar talking? And the BPD? At the same time!!!
I was on the computer doing my disorder sites, and I had to get up, and leave the computer. When I left, Isabella was banging on the computer, and clicked everything down. Some how 1 corinthians chapter 13 was searched in the google bar. So I thought...what the heck I'll pull it up. =) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...13&version=KJV This was what came up on the page. I noticed there was a lot about charity. I thought to myself...I've kinda been doing that on these sites...people helping me, me relating and helping people like me. So I read it and I'm pondering if I'm supposed to go and do some BPD, and BP charity work outside my home when the kids go back to school. Hmmm....I have a month or more to ponder...what do you think? A true message from God through the computer.....or my mind playing tricks on me? |

I think it could have been a message from God.
In the King James version, which you pulled up, it talks about charity. In newer versions of the Bible, the word charity is replace with the word love. I read 1 Corinthians 13 at my daughter's wedding. And yes, God does work in mysterious ways. My daughter arranged for me to go to a christian retreat in early June. I didn't know if I should go because it sounded kind of woowoo to me. She's evangelical. Less than 1/2 hour after I talked to my daughter on the phone I got an email from my friend Cheryl. The email contained beautiful paintings of Jesus' life from birth to resurrection. Cheryl never sent me stuff like that before, only jokes. I'm sure it was a sign from God, so I called my daughter back and went to the retreat. And it did help me, although it wasn't a cure like my daughter hoped. God does work in mysterious ways. ![]() |

That's what I'm thinking. It would be good. I could see how someone's anger might trigger me, but nothing has really triggered me on these sites. It has all been much more helpful than any of my therapy.

Charity means love, but being engaged in charitable work can be loving. It could have been a message. I'm not the best to ask though. I'm always seeing things that aren't there.

Who can say if it is a message.Perhaps the universe guiding you...I certainly have found myself considering that same question at many points in life. But,you can be charitable in many ways...in passing, from home, baking cookies for a lonely elder neighbor or single mum with kids, even offering a smile to a person who appears to be having a low time.Thank you for your post.

God still speaks to us, I believe. It could very well be a message.

Sounds like God wants to help you by having you help others. I find that I always feel better when I care for someone else!

This kind of stuff happens to me too and I think yes God is trying to tell me something. You might want to look up the chapter in another version too.

I believe it is a way for God to help you with your situation right now. He always works in mysterious ways. I too have found it helpful to help others. I have been thinking of things that I can do to help others who go to pdoc or a T who has no information to share with their clients. I have started collected information to share with others as I meet in my life. T really liked that I had mood charts and list of support groups for her to share with her clients. If when I was diagnosed someone would of taking the time to educate me of what I really was dealing with I might have had a different life. So hopefully I can help someone else with their diagnosis.
