My depressi0n is n0t suicidal i hate life crying my eyes out all the time anymore. Instead i'm isolating and uninterested in leaving the bed. If that wasn't bad en0ugh i'm also a bit hypo and n0t my usual energizer bunny self, but a NEW raging hunger ball of anxiety. I've never had an anxiety problem save for a few panic attacks over a yr ago, but jis n0w, i HAD 2 run myself a super hot bubble bath and scrub the anxiety away... This is very new and quite unsettling,b/c n0w my sympt0ms are harder to read, is this happening to any of you or am i a freak. I'm in the middle of a med change (week 3 on lithium) d0n't kn0w if it's playing part in this, I see both pdoc and tdoc on thursday. Any and ALL input welc0me, i want to rip out my hair and my insides!

Ya...I'm going through that too. I don't even know when i'm manic...I only understand when I'm depressed or anxious...and the depression has to be pretty bad to notice, as I'm depressed most of the time. I'm going to my new pdoc tomorrow since I've moved...I hope she will up my meds.

I feel like you describe when I am in a mixed state. I am sure your med changes could be a culprit, too.

sounds very much like you are manic. in this last bout for me, anxiety was a new symptom too. now i cant get rid of it. i never had panic attacks and suddenly anxiety rules my life. even though bipolar is under control now, anxiety is still a big issue for me. it sucks! hope your pdoc is able to help

I feel like this when in a high manic but then I start to cry but not sad. I also can't stand it. I feel for you. Hopefully the pdoc can help you out soon.

Sounds like a very confusing place to be in. I get anxious when I'm in a mixed episode, but when I withdraw, it's usually because I'm getting depressed.
However, sometimes when I'm in a mixed episode, I am so irritable, that I withdraw from people, because none can live up to my expectations.
What did your pdoc say wrt how long it should take for your meds to kick in?
Try listening to soothing music

Trippin, thats great. That is exactly what I do. I add xanax to have a full 8hrs sleep but then I feel so mellowed out and sometimes my feelings are numb. At least you calmed down.
