So I was a chaperone on my son's kindergarten field trip to the pumpkin patch last week.

I usually take lamictal 25mg in the am and pm, and seroquel xr 50mg before bed (for sleep and anxiety).

That morning, not paying attention to what I was doing, I accidentally took the seroquel with my lamictal.

Turned out to be a great idea, actually, as my usual anxiety attacks that would have accompanied dealing with 22 screaming kids on a bus was totally flattened out. Also that would typically have been a trigger for a later hypo episode, which was also avoided.

Wishing I had taken an extra dose today, as well, actually... kids started freaking out immediately after school today and I pretty much shut down and went hypo. Scrubbed pans, washed dishes, cleaned out under the kitchen sink. Finally grabbed a dark chocolate pudding mousse in desperation (chocolate seems to help) along with an O'Doul's amber (i haven't had a real drink in 2 months - not since the manic episode when I got drunk and had a one-night stand). Today might be the first time I actually miss alcohol. *sigh*

In my opinion your on low doses of your meds.... I've never been on Lamictal however I've heard therapeutic dose is around 200mg? Also, if you tell your Pdoc you had good results with Seroquel (antipsychotic) in the am, then possibly he will increase it to keep your levels up throughout the day.

I'm on a mood stabilizer (tegretol), antipsychotic (seroquel), benzodiazipine (klonopin) and antidepressant (celexa)...

Yeah, I still titrating up on the Lamictal. Pdoc thinks I will level out somewhere between 150 and 200. The Seroquel is mostly for sleep and anxiety, as I was only sleeping 2-4 hours a night most of the summer...
