well from my experience going off meds, and trust me I have a lot. I will feel ok for a week , two weeks, but by the second or third week I come undone very quickly, which result in aggressive med treatment to get me under control, that can lasts months.
I'm not saying this will be the case, just consider it, I have done this near 20 times. |

I agree with the others. I have had bad experiences going off meds because I thought I didnt need them.

I've had terrible experiences going off meds suddenly.
The general rule is that if you remember your medes within 6 hours of when you are supposed to take them, you can take them. Any later than that, skip the dose and take the next one. But check with your pdoc. There are plenty threads on here about stopping meds suddenly and without a pdoc watching over you. You do know it's bad for you. Don't put yourself through this.

Yeah, me too - I feel it the first day I stop taking the meds, it starts affecting my behavior the second day, and by the third day, I start losing my ability to function. I guess it's easy to see the link between meds and how I feel when the vengeance comes down so fast!
So be really careful with that and check with the pdoc - just one day might not set off any indicators for you, but it's probably a bad idea to just stop. |

I'm glad you're posting, staying in touching with the experienced folks here who've been through this ...
But I gotta admit you're making me nervous. Kinda like "Welcome to Medication Russian Roulette: the Reality Show." I reallyreallyreally hope you win this, whatever that means. ![]()
