I had an amazing day today!! I didn't have some grand thing happen to me but I was able to get out of bed (something I haven't been able to accomplish for a long time) and get some things done. I cleaned me house and boy did it need cleaned. I am ashamed to say I have let it get super dusty and there were cobwebs everywhere. I went shopping so I could make homemade chicken noodle soup and it was super yummy. I got caught up on my laundry and my dishes, I took my dog for an hour long walk and I raked my yard. I feel so accomplished today. I have not been able to do this kind of stuff for so long. I have not had such a great day basically since I have been diagnosed with Bipolar. Of course in the back of my mind I am wondering if I am switching over to a manic phase (I did start taking Lamictal about 2 weeks ago, maybe its just starting to work) but for now Im just going to ride it out and go with the flow because I like this feeling.
Sorry, I just had to share. ![]() |

What you describe is identical to my condition. For weeks, paralysis and then, one morning I get up and for no apparent reason...the clouds break, the sun appears, life seems easy, manageable.
So yes, could be the meds kicking in but whatever the case, I'm happy for you. Pace yourself, it's easy to crash and burn. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. I find that routine is everything and IF you can just keep it going through the lows, you have a much better chance of pulling out of it sooner. Diet, exercise, talk, these things are much more important than people seem to realize. |
