I finished my psychiatric consult today. I got to go through all my old files and such. I was diagnosed in the past with bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, depression, and borderline personality disorder. So they are sticking with that. It went better than expected. I let them know how the Lithium is helping, so the plan is to stay on the Lithium and if I feel not 100% in 2-3 months, they would like to add an antidepressant along with the Lithium. She was just worried that Lithium alone won't be enough for the depression aspect of things, but I definitely know to go right in if I start to get depressed.

So, things are starting to work out. The Lithium is helping tremendously already, I feel so much more in control of myself. So, with the appointments out of the way it seems like things will be pretty good from here on out.

Wow, that's a lot to have laid on you at once. How are you handling the dx's? Glad to hear you're feeling more in control and getting things in order - it's such a relief, isn't it?

It is a relief. I am doing okay with it all. I think I feel better actually knowing what is wrong, instead of just guessing.

It can be really nice to have answers! I'm glad you feel releif. I take lithium too, it's not enough for the depression or mania in my case. But it does help. It also helps keep the Sui idealization manageable. I hope it works out for you.
