has anyone else experienced memory loss while on lamictal? It's my best mood stabilizer but I think I'm having memory loss.

Have been on lamictal for 11 yrs & yes have some memory loss mostly short term. This drug has made THE difference in making things tolerable versus being non-functional. So it's what you decide you can deal with.

Good luck.

I've noticed bad memory loss and lack of clarity/confusion in the last few weeks. I've been on Lamictal since September and my dose was increased to 300mg two weeks ago.

I messed up two major things badly in work recently due to memory loss and not thinking straight. I'm often embarrassed in front of my colleagues.

I really really hope this passes or that my pdoc finds a solution because Lamictal has been great for me otherwise.

He did also say that it could be that I am too busy in general, and not sleeping enough. I'm not hypomanic, just a bit speeded up at the moment, but working on it by sleeping more and forcing myself to slow down and rest (also off work now which helps).

I am on 175mg of Lamictal right now and have seen these boards regarding memory loss. I think that I am suffering some very short term memory issues - for example, I'll be doing a task and in the middle of it, ask myself if I just did something I did 30 seconds ago. Nothing significant or important really, but a lot of second guessing myself. It can be quite frustrating!
