It seems like I've always been frightened since I was a young kid. But the really scary stuff happened when I had my first breakdown at 21. I was misdiagnosed with OCD, but I really was diagnosed with bipolar 8 years later. I had frightening experiences both times in the hospital.
Now that I'm 40 years old, I see that fear had a major part to play in my disease. Most people call it anxiety. But I call it a deep rooted fear of the unknown, the future, and of what's inside me. As I get a hold of my fears and see they are unfounded, I trust my symptoms will lessen. Love is the antidote for fear. Trust is the result, which is the opposite of paranoia. Merry Christmas, everyone. Hope all your travels are safe and everyone finds some peace of mind this season!
