I just wanted to post this, mostly cause I'm bored. I can't imagine I'm the only one on this site that loves nicotine, so I was just going to say that I got into these electronic cigarettes a few months ago, and it's one of the best decisions I've made in my life thus far I think.

No nasty smell, tar, 4000+ chemicals, and I can sit there and smoke (it's called "vaping") at work. Just thought I would say that, because I want everyone here to live a nice, long, oxygen mask free life.

I even bought some for friends and ex girlfriends so they could quit smoking. So many people needlessly dying of cancer because of frigging cigarettes.

Ok, that is all. I hope everyone has a wonderful and enlightening day today.

What exactly are electronic cigs? Are you just "smoking" regular air? When my mom gave up smoking she used to sit with a thin breadstick and her cup of tea and inhale through the breadstick. It gave her the feelings of going thru the motions but without the nicotine, etc.

They are basically small fog machines.. kinda work in the same way. There is an atomizer that warms up a liquid that is just nicotine, and food grade propalene glycol (sp?) with some flavoring added. That's it. The "smoke" that you inhale and exhale is just vapor made from warming these chemicals. There are many different methods available for doing it.

I use a bigger sized one, because it has more battery life which lasts the work night where I tend to "smoke" alot. My lungs don't feel like crap, and I feel like I'm basically smoking air, except I do get the nicotine buzz feeling and such. I got a bunch of people at work using them now, and everyone is thankful they got away from the nasty cigs. haha

I was looking into these when I spotted a neighbor with one. Have you been able to decrease the amount of nicotine yet? And thanks for reminding me, why I haven't bothered to try yet, I don't know. Stupid.

I haven't smoked cigarettes for a few months now, I just use this thing and feel a hell of alot better. Just make sure you get a good one, not one of those crappy ones from the convenience store. Check out volcano products. Get a refillabe one if you're serious about quitting. You might get a minor sore throat at first from the propalyne glycol, but then it goes away. It's just a really great way to get your nicotine fix in a much safer manner than other ways, with the added benefit of still being able to feel like you are smoking.
