What a stressful day.

I went to get my mail, to get my child tax cheque, which I really need right now. It was not there. There was a letter there instead, from the province regarding my disability, saying that my disability is being held. It says I failed to add a spouse to my file and will be held until a decision is made about my eligibility can be determined once documentation is reviewed.

All I did was go to the office to inquire if at one point in my future it would even be possible for my bf and I to live under the same roof. So that I would know how to plan my future accordingly. The receptionist told me it would not be possible and that was that. Or so I thought. I cannot believe this.

I called the numbers I was told to call, I got the run around from one and the other hasn't responded back yet. And I am freaking out, I know I should just breathe and believe all will be ok, but I cannot calm down.

Child tax is very rarely ever late either, I am so confused.

Seems like when things start to get good there is always something to come along and derail you. How pessimistic of me.

It does seem that way, doesn't it? Hang in there! The tax check is probably going to be there tomorrow. I can't speak to disability, tho, as here it would be a mess up, too. Congrats on your recent marriage, tho

I don't think Anika is married, though? I think she was just asking about her boyfriend living with her. They probably got confused and thought you were getting married and should have contacted you before with-holding the check.

Hang in there, things will work out.<3

I admit, I was unsuccessful in reading the tone of your statement. It just shows that its easy to misread things. :P:P:P

(Sorry for derailing)

Haha ok thank you both, I feel better now.

Thanks on the congrats, that was cute.

I know they are worried about people pulling the wool over them, but still, seems a little dramatic. I feel like I should invite them over for tea and scones, and then take them a tour of my bedroom. I hope that's not the kind of documentaion they have in mind.

I was just hoping for some peaceful days ahead. This too shall pass, and then be forgotten. I really need to learn how to just breath, I already gave myself a bad headache.

((Anika)) I'm sorry about the stress. Governmental agencies can be really heartless.

My brother once had tax problems dealing with my mother's estate because for some reason, they had them down as married! Now if that's not bizarre, I don't know what is!

Weird stuff like that happens. Hope this got worked out...

Bureaucracy is just... ugh. I was initially denied for county services because of my postal code, and they refused to look into the matter - I had to go print out the property tax rolls myself to prove I lived in the county (my zip code is the next county over but there is dual jurisdiction where I live).

So sorry you're going through this. I'm sure it'll be sorted soon.
