Coming from the younger side of seeing the older side doing something new, I have to tell you that we youngsters think it's way cool.

My mom decided to take flying lessons at 65. Now how cool is that? And she just started 4-wheeling at 71.

She's got more %#@&#! and vinegar in her than some people 1/3 her age. I think you guys are awesome, and you should too. Why, why, why?

been there. . .took a class a few years ago and my classmates were kids. they were talking about frat parties and football games and i was wondering if i would get out of class early enough to pick up my son from school or would i have to miss the last ten minutes, and whether or not i had enough money to replace the busted vacuum cleaner. just remember that with age comes experience and wisdom and patience. i got the grade because i knew a thing or two about how to budget time (a necessity when you have kids) and when to buckle down and study. i think its great that youre learning new things and expanding your horizons. go show those silly kiddies what youre made of!

whew.........i need all of the above.

all those kids talk about is how drunk they got last night and they talk at the top of their voices all the time. and it is who had sex and who didn't and who got into a fight with someone at a club...girls, mind you. i want to stand up and scream, "been there, done that". shut up already! Why, why, why? Why, why, why? Why, why, why? Why, why, why?

today was a tad better. i tried a little harder to be more outgoing.and i have befriended a 50 year old lady who is really struggling. i totally bombed on CPR in front of the instructor. Why, why, why? i was too nervous Why, why, why?and couldn't keep my stuff in order.....i'm afraid my dummy died again. but i've got the FBAO down. if you get choked around me, i will dislodge whatever it is or die trying. Why, why, why? (foreign body airway obstruction). i was certified in CPR about 35 years ago and they've changed it Why, why, why? and i have no memory of 35 years ago anyway. AND they are going to make very big changes again very soon.

thanks. i know i'll be back in here soon.

oh..........made a very good grade on a written test today. i definitely know what to do if i find you lying on the floor and unresponsive. Why, why, why?

I admirer you Pat. I really do!

Of course it will take you a bit of time to get use to the class environment (younger people) but you will find out soon enough how well you just fit in. Don't forget to talk to them abour your ranch, your horse, your dogs. You would be surprise how many of these young people prefer to talk about the natural beauty of life then their parties.

You are one of the beauty of life! Why, why, why?
