I'm going to see my GP in the morning because my depression is getting worse and my next appointment with my PDoc isn't till mid july. I don't feel I can keep myself safe at the moment due to suicidal thoughts and also the voices telling me to do things to harm myself and generally being horrible to me. I don't know how much longer I can cope. Do I tell my doctor my fears of not being safe??

Yes, I think it would be a good idea to tell your doc that you don't feel safe right now. Perhaps he can help you get an appt with your pdoc sooner than July, or maybe help you find meds that you feel okay about taking.

Who knows. Maybe she'll just contract with you. But you definitely have to let her know. It is very likely you can get in to see your pdoc much sooner if your gp intervenes.

I'm not sure whether I want to see him sooner lol I really don't like him!! He doesn't understand me and I can't tell a word he's saying half the time! He told me I had to ignore the voices! I've tried but sometimes there is just no getting away from them and they distress me!

Ask your GP for a referral to a new pdoc.

The UK system for getting a new pdoc differs from the US system.
