Kay Redfield Jamison is the keynote speaker at a conference only 75 miles away from me on May 12th. It is actually a conference aimed at physicians for continuing education credits but they had a lower price for the public. So, I registered!!! I never thought I would see her speak although I have listened to speeches by her on youtube.

Wow!! What an opportunity!! I'm so glad you are going to attend. That should be really interesting. Well now that we know you will have to report back to us how it was. Thanks for sharing that Anneinside.

I am so excited for you and hope you have a good time!!!!

I got to see Noam Chomsky speak at my uni. It was awesome. Don't expect to understand everything, either, but bring a notebook so you can write down notes. It helps you remember the parts of the lecture that stick out. I BYFAR did not understand the complexity of his lecture but I still got a lot out of what I could process. I want to see her though, she's a big inspiration.
