Hey,

I start lithium soon and worried about wight gain. Anyone tell me what their experience has been on it?

Knowing that lithium can cause weight gain you need to be proactive and start on diet and exercise as you start the lithium. I gained weight on lithium, I just can't remember how much.

You may or may not, it is not as notorious as Zyprexa. Following Anne's advice is the right way to go, anyway.

i have lost 4 lbs already which is good it totally cuts my appettite

I didn't gain on it but depakote and Zyprexa I did.

Lithium has not caused me any weight gain. My weight gain issues came from AD's and zyprexa.

I didn't gain or lose on lithium. I was just extremely thirsty all the time and had trembling hands.

I didn't gain any weight on Lithium. Maybe you won't either. It seems to be different from person to person. Don't worry about things before you have to
