I honestly feel like an alien in this world; like my experience with bipolar has led me to major separation from humanity. I'm staying at my parents house hardly functioning. Everything has become a chore. I fear that one day I will lose myself completely to this disease. My will to lead a successful life is fading. I use to have dreams of being someone of value, now I just hope I make it though the day.
End pity party. |

What is a successful life? What makes a person valuable? Who are you? Why?

Right now successful would mean functioning and value would be being a person who can contribute to meeting the needs of themselves and others.

What about joining a book club, or volunteer to read 1x a week to kids at the library or couch little kids soccer 2x a week? That way you will feel you have success and value. You also wouldn't be able to fade as fast. If that's to much why not help others on yahoo answers until you can volunteer.
