I was on divalproex before and now my doctor wants to add it to my cocktail. This time though I noticed on the sheet you get from the drugstore that they recommend you get a medic alert bracelet.
I've never heard of this before has anyone else? |

I thought about getting one but med changes happen so frequently it's not worth it but now that you mention it I should put my dx. and mood stabilizer. I think it's cheaper doing the by engraving machine.

I think a medic alert bracelet is a great idea. The details of your meds could always be carried on a card on your person. That way med changes aren't an issue...

I used to wear one that said "takes Multiple medications" and kept an up to date list in my purse. If your bracelet comes with a card for your purse, xerox the card a few times and that way you can change meds on it as often as you need.

Go to the medic Alert website. If I interpreted it correctly, you can update your meds on their site and doctors, etc can look it up online. They also have lots of styles of bracelets at all different prices. I am thinking about getting one too. I haven't heard of advice to get one when on depakote, but I take that and so many other meds.
