My hubby is still away and I'm home alone. I'm starting to dip mood wise.... Hopefully it won't turn into a depression but I don't have much positive stuff happening at the moment. Worried that there is nothing to stop things from rapidly going down hill.

I get the same way when I'm alone too. Even if only for two hours. I understand. Keep sharing!

Being lonely is no fun. Maybe some positive thinking?

Positive things about being on your own: you have the whole house to yourself! You can watch whatever you want on t.v. You can eat whatever you want for dinner! If you have gas you don't have to say "excuse me."

I hope he comes home soon but until then, I hope you can find something to keep your mind off things. No sense in dooming yourself.

Just wanted to drop off some hugs BlackPup! ((((BlackPup)))) I know it can get really lonely without our other. Is there any things that you have interest in that you can plan for yourself to do. Good distractions and time passers? Maybe even something where there would be others around that you could chat with a bit?

When my boyfriend is a away I try to make some plans for myself and follow through even if I don't really feel like doing it. Usually turns out better than I expected and helps me get through that time.

You aren't ever alone here tho, just know that if you need to chat or just coffee talk you can always come here.
Thanks for this!

Why not have a feel good movie fest with lots of popcorn and your favorite beverage? For me, that would be several disaster movies, a bag of nuclear popcorn, and a couple of ice cold pepsis. Disaster movies always make me feel good, because my life is so uncomplicated, compared to the survivors. (Yeah, kind of twisted, but I always have had a demented sense of humor.)

Something that helps me is getting out of the house. I find mundane things to do just to get out. Like I'll go to the store even though I don't need anything.

Movies are a good idea! Sometimes I try to watch movies/tv with my cat. He keeps me from feeling totally alone.

Im sorry your feeling lonely .. You are most certainly NOT alone ... we are all here for you !

I agree with the others in finding a way to distract yourself would probably be very helpful.

I think I would be the loneliest person on the planet had it not been for my dogs! I have met a lot of people just through walking them. It is amazingly therapeutic and if you don't have one, animal shelters are often looking for volunteers!

Thanks for all your replys. I feel very loved!
Blue poppy: I have a dog who helps to keep me sane. I take her for long walks each day.

I don't watch much tv but might try some DVDs to keep from going mad.

I wish I had a job do that I had something constructive to do.

Hey, I can empathize with the long days. I don't have clearance from my pdoc to return to work yet and that equals a lot of time to kill. Kudos for the long walk. My little pooches don't last that long.

Thanks Blue Poppy, hope your pooches enjoy little walks then

It's raining at the moment so no walks today
On the brighter side of things, hubby is back after 6 months working away and only seeing each other on weekends YAY!!!
He has a big exam next week so is studying all of his time but at least I'm not so alone.

Still struggling to find a job, I don't care what it is I just want something to do!!!! (and the money would come in really handy.

Sick with a cold at the moment as well.

Sorry about your cold! I hope it's a mild one that doesn't interfere with your hubby being home. 6 months is a long time to only see each other on weekends!

Thanks Buggs, 6 months is a long time - glad it's over
The cold doesn't seem to bad but I did get wet on my walk so that may make it worse but hope not. Guess time will tell.
