That would confuse me, too! If the meds are working, are you telling him what it was like off the meds? You could actually be bipolar and borderline, I know that's possible. It sounds like you will have to work a bit more with this new pdoc to get your diagnosis straightened out. Hang in there, tho, it will be worth it in the end to be properly dx'd.

That sounds like a rough situation just coming off cold turkey. I wonder if ive been misdiagnosed as bipolar sometimes. But like you said the meds work so I stick with it. I hope you dont have any problems coming off your meds.

the new one is more therapy less drug. the old one is all drugs no therapy. and very far away. i went to this one hoping they could refill my script because i can't make it up there-(forty miles one way) and they wouldn't call in my script. my cars messed up i didn't want to risk it. now i know i should have just went up there

I'm far from being a pharma poster-child, actually quit my meds cold turkey last October, BUUUTT, not refilling your prescription is just plain negligent, I don't trust your new doc 1 iota. Your doc is either an idiot or wackjob, coz even IF your dx is wrong, tapering is the medical standard, and patient safety should be a top priority I'll step down now
Thanks for this!

So, you need to be off the meds for a diagnosis? Okay...I guess but, how long? Takes weeks to adjust to not being medicated again. Your brain can go all funny. Like mine did. Don't know about this one.
