Ok, Diseases I have: Sjogren's Syndrome that has got so bad I had to retire from a$20 civil service job, I had to retire early, so I get 1/2 of my pension $635 a month. 2. I took generic Fosamax for my osteoporosis for 3 years. My bottom jaw is all messed up. I couldn't get any money because I took generic Fosamax.
Now to the wonderful Bipolar meds. My first pdoc had me on Haldol for 16 years. I have 2 side effects from that even though I've been off since 2010. I will have them the rest of my life.
Lithium mess up my thyroid. I take hormone for that. Right now my pdoc is saying my thyroid is low and my regular doc is saying it's high. The blood for both reports were taken at the same time.
God blessed me with my husband. We were married before, but he was so bad I left him. That was 1984. We remarried in 2009. He has his problems, too, but we help each other.
I do feel for you.I went manic once and was in the hospital 3 weeks. That's when I learned I was bipolar. I don't know how many times I've tried to commit sucide or really considered it. I remembered I almost got it accomplished. I woke up in the hospital and a cop was there and he told me I had broke the law. I guess he didn't arrest me cause my husband was there.
Take care, and take it one day at a time. Oh, by the way, I love you all and am on your side. Thanks for listening Love, Owl
