Do you regularly write them? After what length of time knowing the doctor would you write your review?

I don't but considering I am so lucky to have a great Pdoc and Tdoc maybe I should.

I think so too. I think people utilize Yelp far less frequently for mental health issues than for eateries, making it difficult for other patients to seek good care. I write both good and bad Yelp reviews.

I do read the Yelps, but I haven't done one... do you need to make an account?

You can make several accounts - one for eateries and one for MH, if you are worried about privacy. You will just need more than one email address.
Thanks for this!

I filled out an evaluation for my pdoc once for the college of physicians and surgeons. I rated him high on everything except referrals, he was damn slow on that.

I've never heard of Yelp before. I did rate my pdoc on a Press-Ganey survey recently (he got all 5's, the staff got 4's) just because the survey people sent me one and I would recommend him to anyone I think needs a good psychiatrist.

I just looked up my pdoc on Yelp and he has no reviews. Maybe I should write one. I'm just so bad with words. There is one pdoc that has 5 stars, that I tried to get in to, but he wouldn't take me b/c I had been in the hospital, and he didn't want me b/c of probable relapse. It's ok though, I wouldn't trade my pdoc for anything.

I should have retitled my post - Yelp OR other review sites. Please read it like this. I am sorry, I completely forgot of other, specialized medical review sites. For future posters, please say YES if you have written ANY review, not necessarily on YELP.

There are also web sites specifically set up to review doctors. I think it should be that everyone reviews their doctors and makes comments, because some doctors are awesome and others are horrible and a lot are just average.

Not Yelp, but a site called Rate Your MD, I don't know if this is used more in Canada, I never wrote a review but I do check out my doctors on there. My current Psychiatrist got the worst reviews and lowest rating in our city of all the psychiatrists here. Hmm wonder why I never make appointments to see him.
