I had a minor problem with smoking cigarettes for a few months. It got to a point where I was smoking 1-4 times a day. Then a month ago my pdoc increased the lithium, and then two weeks later increased zyprexa. I talked with him yesterday and I realized I hadn't smoked at all since the change in meds. Not without making any sort of commitment or telling myself to stop, I just did. I also didn't need to smoke despite all the stress of college and money, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey skipper, i noticed lithium curbed my appetite for many things. i had almost no desire to drink which was cool i suppose. Good for you quitting smoking. i'm having a little smoking battle atm and the thing that i hated the most about smoking was something having that much power over me! ughh... but good job for you dear!
