I have Rapid Cycling Bipolar II. I have been to many Doctors and have tried almost every medication out there. I cycle every 2-3 months, with no normal moods in between. Nothing has helped me.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I would like to talk to you, if you suffer this same problem.

Thanks.

He he he he he.....don't take that personaly "Trudi", but you are in a bipolar forum. Many here have rapid cycles, some get hopitalized, and others (like me) have no set schedule. I, like you, was just looking for others to relate to because I've never been around anyone like me for an extended period of time. It's good to look through the subjects here that you relate to and jump in and ask a question. We talk about it all and support everyone through everything. I see you are depressed right now. I've been teetering on the edge for a week now, and think I may lose the battle. I can count the times I've been even mildly stable over the past year on one hand. As for meds, well I've also tried a handfull and never found one that helped me, so I just suffer through it and pay for it as well. Probably a short life span from the stress on my heart. It can be managable for some. Hope you find the insight your looking for here.

I am a rapid cycler but my cycles of hypo are about a week and my depression is around two weeks. I still feel them, but they are completely manageable with the meds. I feel they are just within the normal range of being able to deal with healthily.

I too go from one extreme to the other, with no real normal moods in between. At least there never used to be normal moods, until the medication. Now sometimes I forget that I even cycle!!!! But when I do... Ugh!

I was this way since i was nine. I'm 33 now. So yeah... I get it!
