Good luck they didn't send me to a doc I just have a hearing set up. I was surprised they didn't do that with me. Well good luck I'm sure if your up front and honest with them it will go good.

I have not applied to SSI, so I am just looking for a common sense approach. 1) Tell the examiner that you are always nervous around doctors and hate to talk.
2) Write down the story that you would have wanted to tell had you been inclined to talk and give the examiner. He or she may not have the time to read it but at least you will have tried. Make sure to list all the medications with dosages, even though a clinical psychologist is not a medical doctor.

I went through this last year .. To be honest in my case it was infuriating ! The dimwit person performing my eval had a monotone voice explained to me she would read questions off her computer and the only answer required were a yes or no ! Took about 45 mins and poof it was over , leaving me very pissed off.

I am grateful my T told me what to expect and when I told him I would probably snap at this nonsense .. his reply was "if" you get annoyed by all means snap at the person .

Yes indeed I snapped and I'm currently waiting for a court date for my appeal.

Its a bunch of hoops they want you to jump thru.

Good luck !
