Hi Everyone,
I have only been able to read the posts occasionally during the past couple of weeks, so I've missed a lot of your news, but I wanted you to know that I am thinking about all of you.
My new job is so tough! It is hard to create a new class at this time of year, and also to learn a whole new curriculum. My class is great, though. I never have problems with the kids. It is usually my adult coworkers that are difficult to deal with. So far, everyone has been kind and supportive, except for one-the media specialist. Naturally, this is the person I have to go to for all of the electronics I need, and she has been quite the b.tch. I can survive one out of many, though. I am just so nonconfrontational, so I really have a rough time handling people who decide to do their jobs when they feel like it.
Only a few tears so far, and these have all been deserved considering the circumstances.
I'll try to catch up on everyone over the weekend-take care!

Hang in there Blue Mountain! I know somewhat about what it is like as my hubby just started teaching grade 5 on September 17. The position came up due to high enrollment. He has been very overwhelmed, despite previous teaching experience. The math and language curriculum has changed significantly since he taught 6 years ago so it is really going to be like a "first year teacher" kind of year.
You can do it!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
