Never heard of that on I'm on lithium carbonate. Lithium has treated me very well. Keeps me chill and also it helped me during a time when I was depressed. Good luck

I have only heard that it is a natural form of lithium, from a naturopathic dr. He said it is used to treat bp in naturopathy. I'm interested to hear if anyone here has tried it.
And welcome bernie ![]() |

I use lithium orotate, a natural form of lithium along with the amino acids GABA, 5-htp and DL-phenlylanine to control my bipolar 2. They work remarkably well considering I've had it for 40 yeas now.
My naturopath put me on the lithium orotate about a month ago, and it's really helping control the hypomania better. When I first got diagnosed, I was put on lithium carbonate. It shut down my colon, caused such severe hand tremors I almost flunked out of school as I couldn't write and led to hypothyroidism. Other meds had equally nasty side-effects. Now, using supplements, I'm not tied to a Pdoc. If my mood shifts one way or the other, I just take whatever is needed to bring it back in line. My BP2 is ten times more stable than when I was on the meds. |
