I know we all post around here & most of us are well acquainted. But it just hit me to put up a poll like this, to see if there were any correlations between gender & dx or anything of that nature! It may be silly, but I find that kind of stuff interesting. Carry onward!! And post anything relevant if you wish.

I'm still listed as BP-NOS, but I think I'm gonna wind up as a type II after all the dust settles. My pdoc's been in no hurry to assign a 'flavor'---probably wants to see another cycle or two before he pins the tail on the bipolar, so to speak.

So far he's seen a mixed episode and a couple of hypomanic spells; he was on vacation when I had a spell of what was probably as close to mania as anyone ever gets without being full-on, walking-down-the-street-naked-in-broad-daylight manic. What there is NO doubt about is the fact that I am, indeed, bipolar; when I first started sessions with him, I had a diagnosis of depression that he left on my medical record even after adding the provisional BP dx. That went away in the early summer when I switched into hypomania and floated into his office one day on a cloud of perfume and bright swirling skirts; he took one look at me and that was the end of the MDD diagnosis. LOL
