I took a friend to breakfast the other day for his birthday. It was awesome because this friend fought and defeated cancer this past year. It was brutal. So, I was really happy that he is having a birthday.
Now; two days later, it is mine and I don't know what to think. I tried offing myself earlier this year. Right now, I am glad I failed. I plan to have a great day! (In spite of this badly needed rain)! Have a blessed day all!

Happy birthday!
You know, even though it may seem different than your friend, it's really not. The difference is that society makes it seem like our battle with mental illnses is not as important or not as relevant as those who battle and survive other illnesses. So, don't sell yourself short! You have a lot to celebrate today and I'm so glad you get to celebrate your brithday!

I know, this rain came on quick!! I'm a few hours south of you on the coast too. It's just gushing, I'm quite enjoying it. The trees and planties love it.  Enjoy this day, please, wishing you a most blessed day as well!!! And this is a new year, a new start for you.

Oh, happy happy Birthday! I am so very glad that you attempt was unsuccessful and you get to smell the rain and hear its sound as well as post for us! You are very special and precious and I wish you many more birthdays to celebrate. It was raining here all night as well.

Joe, who is BPII and my only BP friend in real life, likes to say that living into old age and dying from natural causes/old age is the real victory. I can extend it by saying that celebrating any birthday is a real victory.

Sounds like a good day Cana, I love watching electrical storms over the ocean!! Very rare around here, so maybe a birthday treat from the gods for you!
