Hey everyone,

I'm the new guy around here. I recently was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 and co-morbid conditions of anxiety, DID, and ADD. I'm 23 and recently lost my last job and have moved back home with my dad to spend some time stabilized on meds and doing some psychotherapy. I'm relieved by my diagnosis, because up until now I knew there was something wrong with me, but I always thought it was character, not chemical. I really spent many years beating myself up for times when I wasn't thinking straight. In the last couple of years I've flunked college, been in and out of 9 relationships, and have worked over 10 different jobs (4 of which I was fired from).

I'm really excited about a new start, and getting treatment, though it's also scary. I don't know very many people back at my dad's place, so I've also been dealing with a lot of loneliness. My therapist thinks it would be good to find a bipolar community support group, so that's why I'm here. I'm looking forward to getting to know many of you. Please feel free to introduce yourselves.

Cheers,
Jonny
