Chantix was horrible. Took me forever to get over being suicidal, and I only took it a month. Worst drug ever.

I tried it once, ended up sitting in the car waiting for hubby and his friend to come out of auto part store and ended up in a hysterical sobbing FIT of anxiety and panic by the time they got back to me and I had NO idea what was wrong, I was not upset about anything! Tossed em in the trash, called Dr next day n told him ty but I would rather risk dying of lung cancer!
Hugs from:

I used it to stop smoking .. I only took half a dose and was only on it for 3 weeks total. That was long enough for me to break my smoking habit.. My husband took it full dose and felt very depressed and he has no MI .

Is Chantix the same thing as Wellbutrin, just under a different name? Or is that Zyban? I get the names confused...

Thanks. I wish they would just market them under one name. It confuses me when there are multiple names. (Sorry I derailed the thread...back to Chantix...)
