I have my appointment tomorrow, and I am nervous. I am also happy about it, I am glad that things are going to be figured out a little bit more. But, I just don't know what I should expect, and I also am not sure why I am nervous. I guess I really shouldn't be, I mean I am getting the problem figured out. It is just confusing me, I don't get it. Why should I be worried about going tomorrow? I just feel kind of weird talking about it, but yet I am also okay with it. I don't understand why I am feeling this way! It's bugging me!

What your feeling is a pretty normal reaction. You are meeting someone new and will be talking about personal things... Just try and relax if you can. Try to remember you are seeing someone that can help you feel better.

Good luck

I feel the same way each time I go to see my psychiatrist. I've seen her for almost two years, but my pulse is always through the roof when they take my vitals. I know it's an irrational fear, but that doesn't seem to help.

I hope I can stay calm. When I can't, I tend to shake a lot. And I mean A LOT.

I'm with ya there, too. I clasp my hands tightly together & rest my elbows on my knees. This tends to mask your shaking. I wish you well on your visit...But don't worry too much. Just keep the very bad thoughts to yourself...unless you mean to do yourself harm. Best wishes.

Good luck. It's okay to be nervous. You're making a big step in life. It would be more concerning if you weren't nervous.

I get nervous everytime I think about what I'm going to tell my pdoc, let alone when I actually have an appointment! It's quite normal I think. I hope it goes well.
