I'm just wondering, for anyone who has taken serqouel. When I went to the pdoc last week, she upped my dose by 25mg. So instead of taking 200mg at night and 25mg in the morning, I'm taking 200mg at night 25mg in the morning and 25mg in the afternoon. Since like Tuesday, I've felt really weird. I sort of feel like I've been sniffing nitrous oxide, laughing gas. I'm sort of disoriented and I feel sort of like I'm floating. I don't know if it is the seroquel doing this or not. I really sort of hope it either isn't doing it, or is only a temporary thing, because I don't want to have to come off of it. But I'm afraid I will, because I've also been getting weird sensations in my hands the past couple days in the morning. Like I'll be holding my phone and will almost drop it because my hand like decides to just let go. I don't know if this is all because of the seroquel, or if I have yet another problem to deal with. Anyone have any symptoms like this while on seroquel?

I did take serqouel for awhile. It helped me at night which was nice since I sleepwalk too. However, the biggest issue I had was sucidial thoughts in the morning. Everyone is different but as the doctor worked to find the right meds for me we found out that the older meds tend to work better for me.

the symptoms you are describing, in my experience should be subsiding after a week of the medication, if they are not or are getting worse you need to talk to your doctor ASAP.

I think most of these doctors push the newer meds on patients and while some of them work wonders for some people they are not the answer for all of us.

Another newer med they tried me on was abilify. At my doctors insistance I remained on the meds for a month but they were terrible, even at small doses, so you might want to talk to your doctor about older meds, especially older anti psychotics.

I have an appointment this afternoon with my pdoc. I just think it's odd that I haven't had really any problems before with it, and I've been on seroquel for more than a month. Unless I don't get enough sleep, but that is sort of expected. She only changed it by 25 mg, I've made bigger jumps than that, and it was like 5 days after it was adjusted that I started having problems. I'll talk to her about it, but idk, it just seems odd to me.

Is it possible that the weird feeling could be some reaction to stress? I mean, it hasn't exactly been rainbows and sunshine the last two weeks.

Could be meds and stress.

I think "Like I'll be holding my phone and will almost drop it because my hand like decides to just let go. " is too much for pure stress.

Unwell, seroquel is not new and it is one of the few drugs actually approved by the FDA for bipolar.

I'm on 400mg at night and I don't have any side effects from it except great sleep. I have had the hand letting go thing. But I doubt it was from the seroquel I was taking.
