Well, I'm just about done with setting up the new business. It's a partnership and we are entering an industry that is open and that has little competition.

My partner sure knows his stuff when it comes to work, but is absolutely clueless when it comes to business so I have assumed the responsibilities of creating it, with his input of course.

I have completed the trade name certification and licensing, advertising flyers, business cards, bank accounts, carbonless copy estimate forms, invoice spreadsheet, follow up letter, scheduling paperwork, work order database, payment receipts that incorporate partial payments for monies up front, working with the webmaster for our website which should be up and going by friday. Ugh... about a million things I am forgetting to put on this list right now.

I have my existing company, Yard Maintenance Solutions, that I have to keep seperate from the new entity right now. Until the first of the year. Jeff, my partner, also has his own customer base that has to be kept seperate too, but he is just functioning from his own name at the moment.

The new company is East Valley Maintenance Group. It handles both home repair/renovations along with the landscape maintenance/clean up and installations.

Our goal is to provide investor services, home buyer and seller services, and lastly services for the individual homeowner whether it be home repair, landscape or both.

not a lot of companies do both and it makes total sense to offer services for both inside and outside of a home.

Ugh.... I'm posting this to get my mind straight on what I am doing. I need perspective.

future goals... LLC paperwork. Insurance. Calling back acountant to get things straight. Ummmm... that's really it. Need to get our tax ID number to convert our sole prop. 50 50 split to a commercial partnership. So much to do! aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh.... No time for a birthday today. lol.
