My boyfriend suffers from depression and anxiety. But he doesn't really understand the mania or the lows and rapid cycling. How do I help him understand? I've tried explaining my moods, but it's like it doesn't process all the way....

It can be really hard to explain to others. They kind of have to want to understand first of all. I find it strange he wouldn't get the lows if he also has depression. But even so, everyone experiences it a bit differently.

My husband read books at the library, but some of them I think just made things worse. You may want to try posting your question under the relationship & communication forum.

Have him read books or Internet research. You could Also have him go to Pdoc with you.
