I'm currently taking 400mg lamotrigine along with 30mg lexapro

I don't think it's enough. Is there anyone that takes lamictal and an atypical antipsychotic? I'm thinking about suggesting that to my dr.
If so, what are you on and how has it helpes? thanks

Lamictal did not work for me so I cannot help you, but you can scan through the longest thread on this forum, http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=152283, and find interesting posts.
Thanks for this!

I've been on Lamictal, an antipsychotic, an antidepressant, AND a benzodiazepine for about five months. Between the four of them, I'm pretty stable......I tried coming off the AD, which didn't work, and then tried coming off the AP, which has thrown my sleep into chaos but helped me lose weight and get my blood sugars under control. Will probably have to go on another AP, but otherwise, my "cocktail" is just about perfect.

I like Lamictal, I have been on it since 2008 and it seems to keep the deep abyss of depression at bay, however it is combined with Wellbutrin, which I like very much. I have also had Lamictal with Trilafon and did not like Trilafon at all. Best of luck.
