Today was my 3rd exam. I still have 3 more to go. And what I was scared of, came true. I knew I was going to be depressed. I am trying my best to get over it and just focus on my exams and I am really working hard, but it isn't working.I quit writing for a while and to pass in my english and arabic exams I had to write. But I was totally unable. I was just holding the pen not knowing what to do. I am sure my grades will be horrible
![]() I hate it when I feel that I am unable to do something. I have the hope and strength but it's really hard to be on my own at times. I have that teacher she always put me down. She somehow reminds me that I am a bipolar. I find it really hard to express my emotions and feelings. I find it really hard to talk even. Even over here I find it really hard to express anything. All I want is to get someone who would listen and understand. I hope I would get over this depression before my next exam. I really need to score good grades...

Don't allow yourself to go there. Don't even allow yourself to think about bad grades because those thoughts just lead to more anxiety and depression. Try to remind yourself that you are ready for these exams. You can write! You just expressed yourself quite eloquently. I know, it isn't the same. You weren't under pressure. Still, it is there. Proof that you can focus. So, tell yourself that. Picture yourself succeeding. Dwelling on future failure will almost guarantee it. Even if you don't believe it, every time you have a discouraging thought, try to follow it with the truth, which is that you can do this and you can do it well! Stay positive. Hang in there. Focus on success and the feeling of relief you will feel when it is over. Good luck!

I am trying. I really am. But sometimes it's really hard to stay strong all by yourself without medicines or therapist or even someone to talk to. Eben sometimes hope and strength aren't enough.
Anyway, Thanks alot that was really helpful and supporting ![]()

I have been there. Trying to write but no words come. I know how that is, for sure!
Don't worry, Angel, you've done what you can. Don't let that teacher bring you down. You're intelligent and perhaps things will not be as bad as you think. Sometimes when depressed your vision is clouded and you think it is worse than it is. I hope this is the case.

Hi,
I really hate ur going through this. Depression is no easy monster. I encourage u to seek support: support groups, therapy & this forum. Also do know that ADA accommodations are available for u at school. Ur school has a disability office that can give u the 411. I have a sister that utilizes accommodations for BP.

Sometimes it is easier to talk to strangers who really don't know you than to the people in your life. I think that's why the internet groups like this one are so popular. We have nothing else to go off of than what you tell us. We don't know how you are at home or as a child. We have no pre-conceived notions or ideas of how we think you should be. You're just another person who has an issue and needs help.
I think the same is true in a support group. These are people you see once a week or once a month, or whatever. They all have similar issues, which give you common ground. They don't know your past, your home life, or anything. So they can listen and be more objective. I think that's also why seeing a therapist helps.
