Is it normal for BP to have waves of rage?? or is this coming from an opressed issue??

I too have rage phases where I feel like I will blow up. It comes from nowhere.

I have had this before and was told it was caused by mania of hypo mania, not sure if that's true. But I've completely snapped on people before and even attacked my family once due to random waves of rage.

I don't. I rarely even get angry and even more rarely does that result in any type of outburst. Though a few days ago I livid! Trashed my apartment but, I was frustrated for good reason and dealt with it poorly. I don't think for me that's a bipolar symptom though.

eek, so thats it, most manic days,Im having fun, but Im begining to see that my rage must be a part of the "mood swings"..thought it was deeply seeded in the trauma imposed by my ex...thank you all for your replies,,this helps me see things a little clearer.. L&R to all of u!
