I'm schizoaffective bipolar type, and I also have a kneecap out of place (?) and disc degeneration in my back. They won't give me anything for the pain, which is EXCRUCIATING. I can hardly walk, and when I try to, even for a short amount of time, I spend the rest of the day in a chair, squirming in pain. I'm out of options and don't see a way out. Plus my depression is a black hole, but mixed, and my meds aren't right. I don't see my pdoc til Friday. I hurt inside and out and feel so hopeless.

If you live in a state with legal medicinal marijuana, you should definitely look into that option for pain relief.

Have you tried physical therapy or exercises for the knee? I have patella femoral syndrome and I know how painful a misaligned knee can be.

Gentle hugs dear I wish you can find some help with the pain. Does the doc know you well enough? Sometimes they want to see you for some amount of time before prescribing pain meds.

Thanks, folks.... no, I live in a VERY conservative state, so unfortunately that's out. I have been given ONE exercise to do for my knee, with no Rx for PT, and no Rx for pain. I'm now having SI's and extreme anxiety, but I DO NOT want to go inpatient. Any other ideas???
