I never had any dizziness w/ topamax. I have been on 100 mg per day, split into 50 mg am/pm.

Hope you feel better soon. ++
Thanks for this!

I wonder if it's not playing well with your other meds? I am really surprised you're having a reaction at this dose. Try cutting one dose down maybe? You can get a stroke from too low of blood pressure also, don't ignore the dizziness.

I should really go get my bp checked. That could be the culprit. The weight loss is not rapid - I weigh 177 lbs now, down from 183-5, so it is not drastic in terms of pounds, my body just feels tight.

Actually, I will go to the p-doc's office tomorrow. They have a walk-in clinic. I will let them measure my blood pressure and determine what is wrong with me. I feel like I am going to pass out.

I take 25 mg in the AM and 25 mg in the PM. He said it is best this way for effectiveness. He said that if I feel drowsy, I can cut the AM dose, but the medication would not be as effective. So my goal is to keep the AM dose.

We will see what they say tomorrow.
